About TMG
The seed for TMG was planted back in 1996 when the founder, William Richards, moved to
Denver, Colorado. While working as a technology manager for a national
telecommunication service provider, he began helping out some individual
business owners and small organizations with their technology needs. "I started
helping out some friends just to keep my technical skills sharp," stated William.
But he noticed that there was no shortage of hands-on technical help
available to businesses of any size. He began to realize that what smaller
businesses really needed, but didn’t have, was the same type of high level
strategic technology management that he was used to in a large corporate
environment.
In 2003, William left the traditional corporate world
to help start an Internet based retail business. "This opportunity validated
my theories about the nature of smaller businesses," he said. “We were
successful, in part, because we had a technology plan. That plan provided us
with a clear path for growing the business. We would not have had nearly the
level of success without a consistent vision for our corporate technology."
After five years as a start-up CTO, William began to
formalize Technology Management Group. "The need is too great to let this
niche go unfulfilled," he said. "Our goal is to provide large corporate
style strategic vision to smaller organizations, using technology to give
them a competitive advantage so desperately needed in the Information Age."
Today, TMG is growing rapidly as companies discover the benefits to be
attained from a coordinated technology strategy.
TMG’s typical client is small- to mid-sized
corporations with a reliance on technology ranging from computers to
industrial automation. However, TMG provides a range of services that can be
adapted to organizations of any size. Whether you are a large corporation
seeking a reality check and fresh ideas or a smaller organization looking
for a complete technology make over, TMG has the technical expertise and
strategic vision to grow your company and improve your bottom line.
